In all honesty - I don't know! Probably that is not a great answer, but I wish I knew, really. Yesterday we had a company-wide meeting and one co-worker of mine (for a fact - in a very fancy position that! Let's call them Bim and refer to one as ''them'' for the sake of at least some confidentiality) finished their monologue by something in the words of: ''well, if anyone has any remarks or wants to follow-up and hear more of my thoughts on it, please let me know and we can discuss it further''. Let's start with, - I am not a fan of Bim. I think they are a very self centered, arrogant and sadly empty individual, who happen to know a lot of fancy words and have a talent in putting those together. That being said, after these words, all I could hear myself thinking was: ''That must feel awesome to be paid for sharing thoughts!'', - and for that, even if the above might be a bit harsh, - I thank you Bim. Partly (yes, only partly, - this has been brewing in my head for quite a while) pushed by you I am starting to do exactly that - sharing my thoughts. For a change not in exchange for money, or at least not for now, but as a pure form of sharing: from me to you, all of you on the world wide web. I did say that I do not really know what are we doing here, but perhaps I could tell a few things that I do know and introduce myself. With, of course, keeping at least some confidentiality - let's keep that a common theme! I am a Lithuanian guy, 27 years old, living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. At the moment I am working in Talent Acquisition, doing that in one of the Europe's largest upskilling companies. Prior TA, I worked for a few years in sales. I am an active runner, just started the preparation for the Amsterdam Marathon coming October (yes, the full distance!). I love basketball, everything and anything related to it. One of my idols is Kobe Bryant. My favorite team is BC Rytas Vilnius, - pirmyn, vilnieciai! I have a bachelors degree in Classical Music, I used to play the accordion. I think I do know a few things about following (and working for) your dreams. I have a loving family - my parents, my brother (who by the way very recently got married!), my girlfriend and a few more people who I would describe as a ''chosen family''. In short, - I am a simple man with simple dreams, just trying his very best out there. Life in Motion Chronicles, - that is basically me. It is my thoughts, experiences & for the most of it - growth. Channeled by sports, supported & motivated by family & idols, I am really happy to start sharing my journey thus far!
